JWST Finds First Sign of Atmosphere on Planet TRAPPIST-1e

TRAPPIST-1e has about 69% of the mass of Earth, and its temperature can be close to Earth’s in the presence of a greenhouse effect. Scientists plan to increase the number of observations to twenty transits, which will allow them to draw more confident conclusions.
