The German explorer plans to cover 6,000 kilometers in about three months, making about 4 million strokes. He will not be sailing on an inflatable paddle board: his vessel was originally a Rannoch R10 ocean rowing boat, which he reduced to 6 meters and 200 kilograms. When fully loaded with supplies, the structure will weigh half a ton. Electronics on board will be powered by batteries charged by solar panels mounted front and rear.
