Then he will head southwest along the Atlantic to his final destination, the port of Cayenne in French Guiana.<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p>The German explorer plans to cover 6,000 kilometers in about three months, making about 4 million strokes. He will not be sailing on an inflatable paddle board: his vessel was originally a Rannoch R10 ocean rowing boat, which he reduced to 6 meters and 200 kilograms. When fully loaded with supplies, the structure will weigh half a ton.
